BIOGRAPHY
2011. He has taken part in number of residencies in deferent
countries, includind, the following countries: England, Italy, England, Algeria,
Namibia, Brazil and The Netherlands. He recently won A Dak’art Award, a
Foundation Blachere Award. He is currently a resident artist at Greatmore
Artist’s studios, an international artist’s studio that caters for both
resident and visiting artist from all over the world, and he is also in
selection committee for visiting artist's program. He is part of the Thupelo
workshop working/selection committee, an international workshop founded by some
of South Africa’s well known artists, like David Koluane, Helen Sebedi, and
others. He’s a Trustee of Gallery EXE, an innovative project founded by lonwabo
Kilani.
His work explores figurative imagery within conventional format, where
he deals with themes around challenges which pushes human life to the extreme.
It’s more about modern indifferences, war and other clashes, and how humanity
can prevail in the extremes of modern life.
